Privacy Policy
Ascend Elite is a Hoopstr product. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have over it. It is written to comply with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP).
1. Who we are
Ascend Elite is operated by Hoopstr. For any question about this policy or your data, write to ascend@hoopstr.ai.
2. What we collect, and why
- Candidates. Name, contact details, a LinkedIn URL and/or resume, and your role / location / seniority preferences — used to match you with recruiters looking for talent.
- Recruiters. Name, email, password (stored hashed), and audit logs of actions inside the portal — used to run the platform and prevent abuse.
- Visitors. A first-party cookie, pageviews, referrer, and anonymised IP — used to understand which channels bring people to the site. We do not use third-party ad networks or cross-site trackers.
3. Who sees your data
Approved recruiters see candidate profiles inside the portal (identifying details are gated behind an explicit access request). Hoopstr staff have full access for moderation and support. We use AWS for hosting and OpenAI’s API to extract structured fields from resumes. We do not sell personal data.
4. How long we keep it
Candidate profiles are kept while you are in our pool — you can ask us to delete yours at any time. Audit logs are kept for 36 months; visitor analytics for 13 months.
5. Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you signed in, remember your share-link session, and count unique visitors. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers. You can clear them through your browser at any time; strictly-necessary cookies will be re-issued the next time you sign in.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- send you a copy of the data we hold about you,
- correct anything that’s wrong,
- delete your profile and associated data,
- stop processing your data.
To exercise any of these, email ascend@hoopstr.ai from the address on file. We respond within 30 days.
